The Mark Pennington Award
…created by the Bengal community after Mark’s passing in 2015 and celebrates the Highest Scoring Bengal Cat in the region. This is very fitting as Mark loved to show cats, and he loved to win while showing cats. In fact, he campaigned Mystre Maybe I’m Amazed in 2014 and achieved the spot of the highest scoring bengal in the region and the entire US (#2 in the world). (written by Mark's wife, Karen)

The Jim Becknell Memorial Award
Given to the Household Pet with the best mustache or beard or belly button-in that order… Jim was an Allbreed Judge and served as TICA's Vice President from 1987 until his death in 1989. He was married to Judge Emeritus Sue Becknell. Jim was a popular judge and a crowd favorite. Jim loved judging Household Pets. He was a real showman when presenting his finals. Watching Jim's finals with his cowboy hat and mustache presenting a Household Pet with a mustache or goatee was special to watch.

Joan Barbara Chandler Award
Joan Chandler was a true Siamese and Oriental Shorthair cat fancier. She bred and exhibited beautiful Siamese and Oriental Shorthairs. She worked with many different patterns and colors from torties to cinnamon. It was one of her cinnamon point Siamese, Sorceress Thor, who was used to introduce the cinnamon gene to the Birman breed. Joan especially loved showing kittens. After Joan passed away in 1997, an award was established in her name for the highest scoring kitten in the Siamese Breed Group. To date, 20 kittens have received this award and their names have been added to the perpetual plaques.

The Lewis Wiorkowski Drama Queen of the Year Award
… commemorate the cat that has been the most difficult to his or her human during the prior show season. Lewis was my first show cat and he is quite demanding. He required his own bed, with the pillows properly arranged when we stayed in hotel rooms and also refused to stay in a carrier in the car - he insisted on riding in my lap and would make himself puke if he didn't get in my lap fast enough.
Although he is retired from showing, he is still a drama queen. He runs around like he is going to die when he gets his daily medication, has been known to flounce into walls if offended, and thinks that any time I leave the house I have died, so he requires being carried around like a baby for some time after I return home.
